Greece, Festivals and more...

Oh god I haven't posted in such a loooong time, at one point, I have to admit, I forgot I had this blog. Summer has been so busy with festivals and holidays and job hunting and all sorts of things. To sum it all up:

I have been to Greece for almost two weeks. We visited an old friend of my boyfriend's father in Athens where we stayed for three days. Did some typical tourist things like walking up to the Acropolis and also we went to this gorgeous rooftop bar.

We spent the rest of the vacation on an island called Andros, in a little village called Batsi. We booked this little hotel room but it was absolutely gorgeous, the best thing was definitely the breathtaking view.

All in all it was a perfect vacation, the food was incredible. I'm absolutely in love with Greek food it's just so simple but yet delicious as hell. I was so sad going back to Austria since the weather was absolute shit, no summer in sight!!

In August I also went to this festival called "FM4 Frequency", which lasted 4 days. To be honest it was my first time - I loved it despite the constant rain and the little cold I had going on. But therefore I had my little friend called booze ;)

Last Saturday a friend, my boyfriend and I went to the oldest zoo in the world: Schönbrunn in Vienna. I absolutely love going there because of the atmosphere and of course all the lovely animals. Our little trip turned into a 5 hour trip, but I didn't complain the weather was awesome - despite the lack of sun!

Tigers (well to be honest ALL cats) are my favourite animals. I just wanted to cuddle this cute fella, look how fluffy its fur is!

Absolutely love this shot, it's so cute how they're cuddling. Doesn't really look like we've gone to a zoo!

All in all it was such an amazing time. I want to return more often this summer as it's a great exercise too. There's also a lot of food areas in there as well as an organic shop - perfect for everyone! I took some food with me, mostly fruits and vegetables since it was so warm and I needed something which you can eat whilst walking.

Essie Belugaria

Strolling around at BIPA (a drugstore here in Austria) I've come across a new shade from Essie called Belugaria. It's a jet black lacquer with loads of tiny ornaments in it as well as rainbow holographic glitter. The finish is very matte which makes it double special in my opinion.

I applied two coats as just one coat doesn't cover my complete nail. Since I've never tried a nail lacquer like this before it was a bit difficult to apply in the beginning, I had to get used to the chunks but it doesn't take a lot of time really.  I didn't apply a top coat so the matte finish was still visible. There's no need to wait a lot until it dries - but I'm not really happy with the fact that it chips very easily. My other Essie nail polish stay at least one (!!) week without any chipping or fading, but this one lasted about a day and a half until there were big chunks of polish missing. Next time I'll try and apply three coats, maybe that lasts longer!

Dry Skin

Not so long ago I've talked to my friend about my really dry skin and how much it annoys me especially now that spring is coming and I want to wear less make up. She gave me two samples from Kiehl's:

Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner & Ultra Facial Moisturizer 

 I have to say I'm absolutely in love with them! The toner makes my skin feel super fresh and soft and it feels so clean. It doesn't really smell like cucumbers though which made me a bit sad. The moisturizer really does its job, after applying the skin is soft and smooth and it smells super fresh and nice. It does take a time to absorb into the skin completely so I recommend to use it at least 1 hour before you put your make up on. Altogether Im very glad she gave them to me and I'll probably buy them soon as I really feel the difference before using them.
